I met Sarah last year and was super excited to photograph her wedding! The rehearsal the night before was so cold and I was concerned it was going to be freezing! Of course the day turned out to be absolutely beautiful!
Photographing the girls that morning getting ready was such a blast! All her bridesmaids and especially her Maid of Honour were fully of personality and energy! It set the mood for the day and kept everyones spirits high!
The location itself was simple but so beautiful! We were surrounded by trees and the beautiful greens from the trees around. There were so many locations around to photograph at and the lighting was stunning!
I had the honour of meeting one of the groomsmen, Mike, whom was such a blast and always kept a smile on my face! He was full of joy and lightened up any room that he walked into. I found out a few weeks after the wedding he was in a motorcycle accident and passed away. I was honoured and relieved that I was able to capture lasting memories of him for the family and of course his beloved wife.
Here are some of my favorites from Ken and Sarah’s beautiful wedding!
The beginning of August I got to photograph Kirnella and Randy’s wedding. I went to high school with Kirnella and haven’t seen her since! I was super honoured and surprised when she asked me to photograph her wedding!
I was definitely surprised when I showed up to the rehearsal the night before. The ceremony location was absolutely gorgeous! Her girl’s dresses we stunning and I loved the colors!
Spending the day with Kirnella and Randy was amazing, I could tell how much they loved each other! During the ceremony, her Mom read out this legend and then all the guests released some butterflies! It was probably the neatest thing I have seen! I caught a few snaps of the butterflies 😛
The whole wedding party was amazing and tons of fun to be with. Also super brave for trekking all the way down to the bottom of Hard Luck Canyon! Here are a few of my favorite photos!
I met Lisa a while back at the local bridal fair. She knew what she wanted photographed and where she wanted it done. Her wedding was held in Fort Assiniboine, a small town about an hour away from me. I have never photographed there and was looking forward to something new and broadening my horizons. The moment I pulled up to her ceremony I was amazed. Her seating area for the ceremony was bales of straw covered in burlap and stumps with mason jars of flowers to line the isle. It was so simple but it was beautiful.
After the ceremony, which was held on the grooms Uncle’s land, we hopped in their truck and drove around looking for their cows! I was glad I didn’t have to drive my little car through the area we went to, I didn’t think it would make it! I was a little hesitant to go near the cows because I had never been that close to any and was scared they would come after me 😛 During this whole ordeal we were dealing with grasshoppers!! Those little guys kept crawling up her dress and I felt so bad for her!
Despite dealing with the heat and the grasshoppers, Lisa and Jeff didn’t let a single thing get between them and their special day! It was such a pleasure to be apart of their day and to capture their special moments! Here are some of my favorites!
